At the time that Intranets were more common that Internet (due to the slow speed of the Internet and the fast speed of the Intranet), someone thought to make a public Intranet that extended to all the province of Venice. So I did interview them for my newspaper article. I did also try to explain Internet routing to the public. Had they got the concept? Not easy to explain complex topics with simple analogies…
